On Friday 3rd of May, ASIS International held their second annual Women in Security Seminar at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. ICT were a proud sponsor of the event, with our Regional Sales Manager, Shaun Gardner attending.
The aim of the event is to further encourage the advancement of women in the security industry, and those keen to join. Using the exchange of information and the building of relationships, ASIS hopes to grow the presence and engagement from women in each facet of the industry.
As a manufacturer of electronic security products, ICT aims to encourage gender diversity in the workplace across our production, research and development, support, sales and administration teams. With 36% of our workforce being made up of women, we're punching above the average for both the security and tech industries, while still pushing to get that number higher.
With the electronic security industry growing rapidly, we believe that it’s important to team up with like minded individuals on these initiatives to ensure that we continue to move forward in the right direction.
