The ICT Asia Pacific IDN Awards 2018 closed last month, and there were some outstanding entries and success stories.
We’re now pleased to announce the winners:
Gavin Marsh from ARA Security New Zealand, winner of the Most Innovative Use of ICT Technology award for their ProtegeGX implementation at Unitec Institute of Technology’s CET Trade Building, a purpose-built flexible teaching environment at the Mt Albert campus, with a focus on the construction and automotive trades.
The solution integrates with Unitec’s student management system and has been designed to meet strict health & safety regulations, ensuring Unitec remains a first class trade training facility that meets the requirements of staff and students.
Access to hazardous machinery is restricted to students that have successfully completed an online induction process, drastically reducing the risk of injury. The system also conserves energy and prevents expensive equipment from being overused by turning it off automatically when the authorized user leaves the room.
Mark Stytsenko from DockCom Australia, winner of the Best Customer Success Story award for their ProtegeGX implementation at the towers at Docklands Yarra’s Edge Complex – a thriving waterfront precinct on the south side of the Yarra River in Melbourne.
The solution covers all required aspects and ensures the client’s needs are met including an intuitive interface, an extensive feature set, enhanced security and control, and the flexibility to work seamlessly with other technology including CCTV, intercom, and elevator systems.
With its openness and ease of integration for future proofing any high-tech integrations, ICT’s solution simply had no competitors, helping to bring a luxury complex into the 21st century.
Gavin and Mark both win a a return trip to Las Vegas to attend ISC West 2019.
We’d like to thank everyone that submitted entries, and we will be featuring more details on the various solutions in case studies in the very near future. Watch this space!
